Abstrakt

Gwałtowny rozwój przemysłu komputerowego w ostatnich latach wywołał walkę o nowych klientów. Opracowanie przedstawia spojrzenie na czynniki determinujące konkurencyjność sprzętu komputerowego, oprogramowania oraz technologii.

Competitiveness, understood as the rivalry between economic agents, is present in all areas of human life, including the IT sector. The rapid development of this branch of the economy in recent years has made the struggle to win new customers more acute. The mistakes made by IT pioneers have been seized upon by new firms entering the market. The 1990s saw major changes in the IT industry. Computers have not only become mass-market products, which has heightened competition, but also the specific nature of the IT industry has led to the emergence of many new specialised branches within it. This article looks at the factors that determine the competitiveness of products - hardware, software or technology, which are understood by each IT manufacturer in a different way.
