Abstrakt

Omówiono wskaźniki charakteryzujące sytuację mieszkaniową i zmiany warunków mieszkaniowych określanych przez te wskaźniki w ostatnich latach. Do oceny sytuacji mieszkaniowej posłużono się grupą wskaźników podzielonych wg: niedoboru mieszkań, zaludnienia mieszkań, standardu powierzchniowego, standardu wyposażenia mieszkań oraz własności i formy użytkowania mieszkań.

The aim of this article was to assess the housing situation of Poles from the beginning of the transformation period. In order to carry out this assessment, the author used indicators relating to the shortage of apartments, the number of inhabitants per apartment, the size (surface area) and furnishing standards, as well as the forms of use and ownership. A comparison of these figures reveals a small improvement as regards the number of inhabitants per apartment, the furnishing of apartments, and their surface area. However, the difference between the number of apartments and the number of households, which in recent General Surveys has increased from 1,370,000 to 1.5 million, is worrying. This confirms the view that the housing problem in Poland is essentially quantitative in nature.(original abstract)
