Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Distribution logistics, Product distribution, Inventories, Supply management, Conference materials - Abstract
- W artykule przedstawiono wykorzystanie koncepcji uzupełniania zapasów VMI (ang. vendor managed inventory). Koncepcja ta odnosi się do przypadku, kiedy dostawca analizuje stany magazynowe swoich klientów i sam podejmuje decyzje o terminie i wielkości dostawy. Zastosowanie koncepcji VMI pozwala na obniżenie kosztów wynikające z efektywniejszego wykorzystania zasobów produkcyjnych i dystrybucyjnych. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono problemowi wyznaczania tras ładunków (ang. inventory routing problem, w skrócie IRP).
The article has presented the applications of Vendor Managed Inventory VMI, the concept in which the Vendor analyses the clients' warehouse stocks and himself decides on the volume and date of a supply. The VMI concept, if applied, allows to lower costs resulting from more effective allocation to production and distribution resources. Special attention has been paid to the Inventory Routing Problem IRP. (J.W.) - Accessibility
