- Przedstawiono ewolucję procesu integracji walutowej w Europie. Omówiono warunki przystąpienia do Unii Gospodarczej i Walutowej - kryteria konwergencji.
In this article the author concentrates on the problems of the criteria of convergence connected with accession of the new members to the Union. He also concentrates on the relation between the principles of the European monetary area and the characteristics of monetary reform, configurations of variants of the basic economic categories which are a basis for economic policy within the monetary union and evaluation of how the European Monetary Union fulfils the criteria of the optimal monetary area.
