Central and Eastern Europe - Abstract
- Ceny kontrolowane są umowną kategorią cen konsumpcyjnych. Agregują różne rodzaje cen towarów i usług wyodrębnianych spośród grup elementarnych, wchodzących w skład wskaźnika cen towarów i usług konsumpcyjnych (CPI). CPI jest najpopularniejszym miernikiem inflacji, który określa procentowe zmiany cen przy założonej strukturze wydatków gospodarstw domowych. Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie oraz porównanie zakresu i wag cen kontrolowanych w CPI w wybranych krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej (Polska, Czechy, Węgry) oraz Unii Europejskiej (UE-15).
The aim of this article is to characterise and compare the scope and weight of administered prices in the CPI in selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe and in the European Union. Since the category of administered prices is separated in the CPI to a degree as a matter of convention according to the pricing mechanism, its scope varies from country to country. The comparison has shown that the weight of controlled prices in the CPI varies in individual countries and in 2003 it amounted from 27 procent in Poland to almost 34 procent in Hungary. Such a huge difference stems foremost from the fact that the weight of excise goods in Hungary is significantly greater than in other surveyed countries. Moreover, in all the non-EU countries examined, this weight is greater than that in the EU. (original abstract) - Accessibility
