- Autorka omawiając europejski rynek pracy zwraca uwagę na fakt zmniejszenia tempa wzrostu gospodarczego, a co za tym idzie spadek zatrudnienia w krajach UE. W dalszej części opracowania autorka przedstawiła wyzwania jakie stoją przed polskim rynkiem pracy w perspektywie przyszłego członkostwa.
This paper commences with an examination of the most important problems of the labour market in the European Union between the years 1985-1997. It also looks at the actions taken in the aim of reviving the labour market and decreasing the future unemployment. On this basis the analysis of the labour market in Poland between the years 1989-1997 has been carried out with the particular attention to the Katowice voivodship. Finally, the impact and the tasks of the new public administration in Poland, particularly in the regions where the industrial restructuring is presently being implemented, has been examined.
