Abstract
Innowacje stały się głównym instrumentem konkurowania banków na rynku finansowym. Podkreślono iż zwiększenie ich efektywności wymaga realizacji właściwych strategii innowacji. Polski sektor bankowy z dužym trudem próbuje zmniejszyć ogromny dystans dzielący go od banków - liderów innowacji - działających na rynkach rozwiniętych.

Innovations have become the main competition instrument in the finance market. An improvement of banks' effectiveness requires the realization of proper innovation strategies. Polish banks with much effort attempt to reduce a huge gap between them and banks being leaders of innovations in the developed countries.(original abstract)
