- Przedstawiono rozwój i funkcjonowanie euroregionów w Polsce. Omówiono cele euroregionów i charakter współpracy transgranicznej.
The article presents the development of the Euroregional idea of co-operation in Poland within the period of the last ten years. System changes in Poland led, among others, to the creation of Euroregional structures aiming at taking up joint projects which are in the interest of each party of the given Euroregion. Up till now in Poland there have been created fifteen such forms of cross-border co-operation along all borders, although Poland also co-operates with countries which do not have borders with it. Each of the existing Euroregions is characterised by different intensity and power of activities. There can be observed numerous examples of substantial projects, however their basic goal is to construct new rules of co-operation, as well as legal-organisational structures helpful in the process of Polish integration with the European Union.
