- Abstract
- Opracowano profil konsumenta Republiki Korei i jego poparcia dla badań nad nową techniką rolniczą , na podstawie badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród 1000 gospodyń domowych w pięciu wybranych dzielnicach Seulu. Próba losowa zawierała 200 gospodarstw domowych z każdej dzielnicy, a uczestniczki wybrano proporcjonalnie do grup wiekowych w przedziale pomiędzy 30-tym i 55-tym rokiem życia. Analizie poddano stosunek do badań nad techniką dotyczącą sześciu działów produkcyjnych: ryżu, zbóż innych niż ryż, owoców, warzyw, bydła i krów mlecznych. (abstrakt oryginalny)
This paper reports on the study of Korean housewives and their views of the importance of research in areas of rice, grain and other than rice, livestock, fruits, vegetables and dairy livestock. Culturally, it is the housewives that are the primary food shopper and preparer in Korean households and, consequently, exercise their power making food purchases. Their attitude about the focus of agricultural technology research reflects importance attributed to various food groups. Knowledge of such importance makes the research policy and commercialization of new or improved foods more efficient through selection of technologies most likely to find consumer acceptance. An ordered logit technique was applied to the sample of 1000 interviewed respondents from Seoul and its immediate suburs, Korea, to identify socio-demographic factors and opinions and views on food consumption related issues in order to identify profiles of consumer groups particularly opposed or in favor of research on one of the six food categories (i.e., rice, grain other than rice, fruits, vegetables, livestock and dairy livestock). Results suggest income differences, but overall, research on fruits, vegetables, and dairy livestock was favored over other area. (original abstract) - Accessibility
