- Najszersze są zakresy działalności polityka, dlatego jego etyka ma takie znaczenie dla uwzględnionych w niniejszym opracowaniu zawodów. Polityk może być politykiem partyjnym albo bezpartyjnym, parlamentarnym albo pozaparlamentarnym, urzędującym albo nieurzędującym, lobbystą albo nielobbystą, być wyróżniony urzędem ombudsmana albo nie mieć takiego wyróżnienia. Charakteryzując etykę polityka, autor opisuje również, w większym lub mniejszym zakresie, etykę innych zawodów. Etyka żołnierza i etyka policjanta w typowy sposób odzwierciedlają specyfikę zawodów polegających na wiernym, literalnym, dosłownym stosowaniu prawa. Z tych względów etyka polityka jest jednocześnie etyką samodzielną dla zawodowego polityka i tłem dla etyki przedstawicieli innych zawodów współtworzących etykę publiczną. (abstrakt oryginalny)
The scope of activities of a politician is the widest, which is why ethics has such significance to the professions considered in this study. A politician may or may not be a party member, a parliamentarian or non-parliamentarian, in off ice or not in office, a lobbyist or non-lobbyist, distinguished by the off ice of ombudsman or not having such a distinction. When describing the ethics of a politician, the author also describes the ethics of other professions to a greater or lesser degree. A soldier's ethics and a policeman's ethics typically reflect the specific nature of the professions involving their true and literal observance of the law. For these reasons, a politician's ethics are simultaneously independent ethics for a professional politician and a background to the ethics of the representatives of other professions which jointly form public ethics.
