Abstract
W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienie możliwości zmniejszenia kosztów ochrony roślin przed chwastami. Istnieją już technologie pozwalające na tworzenie dużych pól, z podziałem na bloki, które mogą być bardziej precyzyjnie obserwowane, ze zróżnicowanym zastosowaniem rodzaju i dawki herbicydu. In the last ten years as space technology, more precisely satellite and ground based global positioning systems, became available for the civil sector, a new way of crop production has emerged. Agronomists have long ago observed that soil type and weed vegetation are not evenly distributed across large fields. However, until recently the was technology to tackle this problem was unavailable. By the way of global positioning it is possible to map large fields and break them down to small, if necessary sub square meter sized, blocks making data collection on a certain field possible in wuth great accuracy. Applying the concepts of integrated crop production precision farming may form the basis of the most cost-efficient and economically viable crop production system. As weed species occur most of the time in smaller or bigger patches scattered across a field it is economically reasonable randomly to work out methods adjusting weed management practices to the spatially variable weed vegetations. This way by altering the rate of herbicides according to the variability of weed presence g the cost of herbicide and application is reduced and the chemical pressure on the environment, is decreased.
