- W pracy poruszono temat znaczenia gastronomii w zaspakajaniu potrzeb turystów. Autor po pierwsze przedstawił funkcje gastronomii w obsłudze ruchu turystycznego, po drugie omówił rolę gastronomii na rynku turystycznym w gospodarce Polski. Na zakończenie przedstawił opinie turystów na temat jakości polskich usług turystycznych.
Until 1989 Poland's tourist industry was governed by supply. In the last few years many changes have appeared on the tourism market. Privatisation and the liberalisation of procedures for setting up new firms have improved the quality of the country's tourist product. An important role in this market is played by the catering industry. During the transformation many new domestic and foreign firms have emerged offering increasingly good products. Their quality is valued highly by tourists. In spite of the progress made in recent years, the catering services market still offers great opportunities for the development of new firms and for improving the quality of services offered. The development of catering services may also play an important role in increasing the general standard of living. (short original abstract) - Accessibility
