- Celem publikacji jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy pomoc publiczna jest narzędziem realizacji polityki spójności społecznej (co sugerowałby nacisk kładziony na walkę z bezrobociem) czy też gospodarczej. (fragment artykułu)
This paper tries to evaluate the role of the state aid in the cohesion policy in Poland. It was done using the correlation between state aid and changes in GDP and unemployment rate in Polish regions. During period 2001-2005 there is little connection between these three variables. That means state aid plays little role in regional cohesion in Poland. Additionally there is no sign that Polish government intentionally shaped its support to companies according to regional needs. Further plans concerning state aid suggest its closer tights to the European cohesion policy which should improve its quality and positive influence on regional cohesion in Poland.
