Abstract
W artykule krótko omówiono kontakty gospodarcze Polski z państwami Bliskiego i Dalekiego Wschodu. Przedstawiono zasady ekonomii islamskiej, rynku islamskiego oraz cechy islamskich instrumentów finansowych. Zaprezentowano również teorię podziału zysków i strat zgodnie z zasadami szariatu.

Polish economy is intensifying its cooperation with the Middle Eastern countries. Currently economies of many of these countries are undergoing islamization processes. Islamic economics is based on Sharia, and its fundamental values are different than the rules of traditional Western market economics. One of the main and most important principle of Islamic economics is the rule of profit and loss sharing, which has direct implications on the basic features of Islamic financial instruments. At present many international financial institutions offer such instruments. (original abstract)
