- Program Audyt miast (Urban Audit)zapoczątkowano w 1998 roku jako wspólne przedsięwzięcie Generalnego Dyrektoriatu Polityki Regionalnej Komisji Europejskiej (DG REGIO) oraz Eurostatu. Jego celem było dostarczenie obiektywnych i porównywalnych danych o miastach europejskich. Jest on odpowiedzią Komisji Europejskiej (KE) na rosnące potrzeby z zakresu wsparcia informacyjnego miast. Analiza w niniejszym artykule ograniczona jest do wybranych zmiennych demograficznych. Zebrane wskaźniki podczas trzeciej edycji programu Urban Audit 2006 obejmują 357 miast z 30 krajów (w tym 45 miast Polski).
The Urban Audit is the joint venture of the European Commission and Eurostat initiated in May 1998. This programme is an answer to the rising information needs on cities, where the majority of economic potentials and innovative enterprises are concentrated. The main aim of the project is to provide the objective and comparable statistical data characterizing the social and economic life of cities. The analysis is limited to some selected demographical variables and indicators collected during the third edition of the Urban Audit 2006 programme covering 357 cities of 30 countries (including 45 Polish cities).(original abstract) - Accessibility
