Abstract
Wprowadzony model zastosowano do modelowania handlu zagranicznego Polski.

In the article it is proved that the presence of deterministic components (constant, trend and dummies) in data generation process leads to a model with deterministic components in the cointegration space. We obtained the VEqCM model with deterministic variables, in which the dummies, representing structural breaks, have influence on the properties of residuals with oneperiod lag (which is connected with lagged variables in the cointegration vectors). In empirical application the VEqCM model with a constant and the adjustments of the constant is used. The investigation concerns the model of Polish foreign trade. The variables, which determine Polish exports were identified. Furthermore, it turns out that the change of the exchange rate regime has impact on both exports and the moment of joining the European Union influences Polish exports and imports. The breaks are represented by appropriate adjustments of the constant. (original abstract)
