Abstract
W artykule przedstawiono założenia i wnioski z badań w zakresie CSR w ramach 6 Programu Ramowego Komisji Europejskiej i innych inicjatyw badawczych na poziomie Unii.

Strategic corporate breakthroughs caused by the global crisis are made in the context of growing expectations in the area of rise in integration of activities to achieve sustained development, whose instrument and platform of coordination in the European Union are the Corporate Social Responsibility. The role of CSR in the European Research Area is research preparation and practical differentiation of stakeholders to cooperate effectively in innovation initiatives perceived as a social process, initiated by talented people and perfection centres, which are given opportunities to advance knowledge as well as cooperation platform so that the potential of impact of innovation on the society, economy and environment would be as strong as possible. The article presents the assumptions and conclusions from the CSR research within the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission and other research initiatives at the Union level. Small and medium sized companies as well as emerging economies have not been included in the research so far. There is a possibility of developing and integrating this research, using numerous initiatives from the European Academy for Business in Society. (original abstract)
