- W artykule zaprezentowano istotę oraz postępy we wdrażaniu strategii zrównoważonej konsumpcji w państwach Unii Europejskiej. Zrównoważona konsumpcja stanowi integralną część strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono Wielkiej Brytanii będącej liderem we wdrażaniu strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju.
The aim of the article is to asses of the progress of EU sustainable consumption strategies' implementation in selected countries, including Poland. Analysis is based on EU and national strategic documents, reports, reviews, and communications of the European Parliament. United Kingdom is a lead country in the field of changing of consumption patters. Polish activities in the field of sustainable consumption are at initial phase. Despite considerable efforts to include action for sustainable development in major EU policy areas, unsustainable trends persist and the EU still needs to intensify its efforts.
