Tarnobrzeg region - Abstract
- W artykule przedstawiono cele i założenia funkcjonowania Sekcji Komitetu badań naukowych uprzemysławianego regionu tarnobrzeskiego powołanej w naukowym ośrodku krakowskim przez Komitet Badań Naukowych Regionów Uprzemysławianych przy Prezydium PAN.
The writer first defines the Tarnobrzeg region as a productive complex possessing its own sources of rawstuffs and describes the tentorial extent of its direct influence. It is assumed that investments are the main factor of growth and economic development of a region, because: a) they create the material conditions of economic development, b) transformations of the economic structure of the region receive a new impetus, c) modern technology can be introduced, d) qualified personnel is trained, e) new social factors stimulate the economic development of the region. It is concluded that the dynamics and structure of investments in the region govern its development. The territorial structure of investments is therefore discussed. It is shown that analysis of the process of economic development of a region is one of the elements of the theory of economic development not only of the given region, but also of the national economy as a whole. It is emphasized that the study of the development of a region must include analysis of the territorial factors and should provide an answer to the question of the character of their structure, of the gross social product, consumption and production in the studied region. Finally, the writer presents the aims of the analysis of the state and developmental trends of agriculture in the Tarnobrzeg region, and the structure of the income and expenditures of the population engaged in agriculture.
