- Abstract
- The goal of this paper is an attempt to investigate the relations between attributes describing the Board of Directors and the economic performance a relevant company, and that of the sectors in national economy. According to the Principal - Agent Theory - related to moral hazard problem - is to ensure the provision of appropriate incentives, so that agents act to bring principal expected profits or satisfying results. In terms of the Game Theory, change in the rules of the game is required, so that the self- interested rational choices of the agent coincide with what the owner wishes. The agency theory is the basis in most employer - employee relationships, hence also in top executives appointments.(original abstract)
