Abstract
Ostatni kryzys finansowy spowodował przemiany w sektorze bankowym dotyczące aspektów regulacyjnych, jak również własnościowych i ujawnił złożoną interakcję między państwami i rynkami finansowymi. Zarówno naukowcy, jak i politycy ponownie starają się znaleźć odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące: (a) problemu banków zbyt dużych, aby upaść; (b) roli konkurencji w dzisiejszym sektorze bankowym; (c) wpływu wielkich banków i konkurencji na gospodarkę, czyli następstwa dla makrostabilności ekonomicznej.
