Abstract

On average public family firms outperform their none-family peers due to their long-term, careful strategies, better resource management, strong architecture, reputation in the environment and longevity, which makes the businesses more attractive for investors. The purpose of the paper is referring to world, empirical, comparative research which acknowledge the regularities and presenting the recent theories explaining them and pointing out to their sources. The status of a public enterprise seems to be a particular opportunity for family firms in terms of value creating. (original abstract)
