- Abstract
- By a biogas plant inyestment in an agricultural enterprise it may come to changes of the whole-operational yield/risk relation. This article examines the potential influence of a biogas plant on this relation. For this purpose, first the maximum possible risk reduction of a biogas plant in connection with different agricultural business branches is ascertained by means of minimum-variance-port-folios. Furthermore, this contribution examines the efficiency of a whole-operational yield change by a biogas plant inyestment depending on different business portfolios. From the combination of a biogas plant with different business branches it has turned out that all variations show a minimum yariance portfolio and are therefore basically suitable for risk reduction. The calculation of the efficiency of the yield change shows considerable differences for the business portfolios examined. It is pointed up which business branches and business portfolios are suited more or less for an inyestment in a biogas plant in view of the risk. (original abstract)
