Kłodzko region - Abstract
- Scharakteryzowano życie kulturalne Ziemi Kłodzkiej, uwzględniając działalność domów kultury, kina, biblioteki i muzeum.
Transformation of economy and political system results in deep and various changes in social sphere and it also creates a new system of values. Specialized cultural institutions have great influence on our life because they help us to define our social status, give possibility of self-fulfilment, educate our values and develop and extend our knowledge about the world. The following article analysis changes in cultural life in Kłodzko after the year 1989. My aim was to show in what way the functioning of cultural institutions in Kłodzko was influenced by impoverishment of its citizens, reduction of living expenses, prices, increase of social services and huge unemployment rate in this region. Kłodzko is not only a perfect example of transformations affecting cultural life in Poland. It is also my hometown where cultural institution have become part of my life since my childhood. I have been actively involved in functioning of cultural institutions since then. It is them shaped my personality, enriched my experience and first of all prepared me to play an active role in various, social situations. (original abstract) - Accessibility
