Abstract
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Michał Kalecki's death, the author takes a review of his writings, as well as of those of other authors relative to his economic theory, that were published hitherto at home and abroad since his decease. The author put a particular stress on the great interest in Kalecki's works abroad, going back to the middle of the '70s, which is illustrated by the recent English edition of his Collected Works published in Poland in six volumes in 1979-1988, and other collections of his papers in various foreign languages (mostly in English, Spanish and Italian), as well as the scores of articles on his contribution to the contemporary economics published in economic periodicals. The author tries to explain this phenomenon while pointing to the formation of the post-Keynesian school of economics that adopted many underlying principles of Kalecki's theory, called often the "Kaleckian economics". The author passes in review the main theses and proposition that have been taken by the post-Keynesians from "Kaleckian economics", especially from his theories of prices and distribution of national income, of investment and the business cycle, etc., and published in the two representative periodicals of that school, i.e. "Cambridge Journal of Economics" and "Journal of Post Keynesian Economics".
