Abstract
Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie charakterystyki, właściwości, działania i zastosowania kreatyny w nowoczesnych kosmetykach. Kreatyna jako składnik wielofunkcyjny wykazuje szereg właściwości kosmetycznych, takich jak nawilżające, przeciwutleniające, przywracające energetyczny metabolizm skóry, stymulujące syntezę kolagenu, fotoochronne i modulujące działanie enzymów. Kreatyna jest korzystnym składnikiem aktywnym zwłaszcza w pielęgnacji skóry suchej, zniszczonej, dojrzałej, wrażliwej, z rozszerzonymi naczynkami oraz z przebarwieniami. Może być stosowana w różnych postaciach fizykochemicznych kosmetyków takich jak: kremy, płyny, balsamy, żele, spraye, pianki, wodne lub wodnoetanolowe roztwory, płyny do chusteczek, bezwodne lub wodne sztyfty oraz mikroemulsje. The aim of this work is to present the characteristics, properties, cosmetic activity and application of creatine in modern cosmetics. Creatine is a multifunctional cosmetic ingredient due to its beneficial activities such: moisturizing, antioxidative, revitalizing the energetic metabolism of the skin, stimulating dermal collagen synthesis, photoprotective effect on the cellular creatine kinase system and on the collagen metabolism and mtDNA mutations. Moreover creatine is a modulator of tyrosinase and metalloproteinase enzymes. Therefore it represents a beneficial active ingredient especially for topical use in dry, damaged, mature, sensitive skin care, and also for skin with dilated capillaries and spots. Creatine can be applied in different physicochemical forms of cosmetics such as: creams, lotions, balms, gels, sprays, mousses, aqueous or aqueous-ethanolic solutions, liquid for wipes, anhydrous or hydrous sticks and microemulsions.
