Abstract
The monograph of Social Institutions (Politics, Religion, Family) is logically-well arranged into four chapters. The first one - "Social Institutions in Sociology" - serves as a theoretical and methodological introduction to the whole book. In that chapter the author clearly formulates her philosophic and sociologic position. However this is an open and dynamic foothold that is later in other chapters penetrated by politological and philosophical viewpoints. The second chapter - "Politicy as a Social Institution" - represents one of the supporting chapters of the monograph. It is theoretically original and for readers very interesting. The author focused her attention to separate spheres of theoretical concepts that belong to consensual and conflictualist paradigm in sociology and politology. Within the intentions of Weber's classic methodology, she originally analyzes the function of nowadays political power even in such forms which often lead to misunderstanding.(fragment of text)
