Abstract
Przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące spółdzielczości w rolnictwie i na terenach wiejskich we Francji, Austrii i Wielkiej Brytanii, a także wskazano instrumenty prawne oraz o charakterze pozaprawnym, które wpływają na kierunki rozwoju spółdzielczości w tych krajach. W tym celu dokonano analizy przepisów prawnych. Nawiązano także do danych statystycznych obrazujących kierunki i tendencje rozwoju ruchu spółdzielczego. Zwrócono uwagę na podejmowanie działań propagujących rozwój spółdzielczości w krajach Europy Zachodniej i wysunięto postulat zmiany, nie tylko polskich przepisów prawnych, ale i większego docenienia znaczenia spółdzielczości w życiu społecznym i gospodarczym. The paper presents selected issues concerning cooperatives in agriculture and rural areas in France, Austria and the United Kingdom, as well as the legal and extralegal instruments which influence the trends of cooperative development in those countries. Additionally, the paper presents statistical data showing tendencies of development of the cooperative movement. The article also mentions the actions taken to promote the development of cooperatives in the Western Europe. Finally, it suggests that it is not enough to change the Polish legislation, but it is also essential to emphasize the importance of cooperatives in social and economic life. (original abstract)
