Abstract
Zgodnie z tezami Williamsona, czołowego przedstawiciela ekonomii instytucjonalnej, rynek i hierarchia to bieguny pewnego kontinuum sposobów regulacji (koordynacji) transakcji.

Market and hierarchy are two extreme modes of governance structure. Between them there is space for co-operative behaviour of economic entities. Market, hierarchy and co-operation are important economic institutions. In the paper, the authors focus on the co-operation within business clusters which can be treated as the regulatory framework of firms' behaviour. The paper is based on the literature review and the results of empirical research conducted among enterprises participating in three emerging clusters in Wielkopolska. (original abstract)
