Abstract
W Polsce badania typu foresight prowadzone są od 2004 r. Ze względu na swój charakter występują one najczęściej jako dwie kategorie, tj. narzędzie i proces. W związku z tym w artykule podkreślono znaczenie przesłanek leżących u podstaw każdego podejścia oraz omówiono kontekst zastosowania funkcjonujących określeń. (abstrakt oryginalny)

In Poland, the foresight studies have been conducted since 2004. As regards their nature they are mostly considered within two categories i.e. tool and process. Because of this the article presents the significance of reasons of each approach as well as discusses the context of using these statements. (original abstract)
