Abstract

The last turn of the century was a period of the significant growth of the transnational retail sector. The rapid emergence of the top retail players in the global economy is a result of their transnational strategy based on the successful multi-diversification process in all possible directions. What does make that diversification successful? When does the diversification benefit? Tesco PLC. multi-diversification strategy leading year after year to the highest compound and annual growth rate in the retail sector is a great example of building the right foundation for the future decisions concerning its growth.
