Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show the manager's role in the business organization functioning under new economy. The author shows the evolution of classical management approaches from the perspective of the manager's role in business. Then she presents basic principles of Resource-Based Management particularly taking into consideration the category of economic pension which an organization can convert from resources, especially such as Ricardian pension, organizational pension or managerial pension. The conclusion of these deliberations is that manager's role refers to building goodwill and resources which are the bases of economic pension's converting. In the final part the manager's role in the new economy is explored based on the literature research and empirical study.(original abstract)
