Abstract
The article contains the results of a multi-dimensional comparative analysis aimed at sequencing the Polish voivodships in terms of their investment attractiveness. The analysis was carried out using the synthetic measure of development, proposed by Z. Hellwig. The voivodships were compared in ten categories. The comparison focused on: region's level of internationalisation, situation on the labour market in the region, absorption of the regional market, social infrastructure, transport infrastructure and ICT infrastructure in place, the condition of natural environment, the level of economic development, research and development and innovative activities in the region, the education sector, the level of public safety in the region. All these categories were described using a number of variables. In total, a set of thirty-four variables were used in the analysis. The research was carried out in the years of 2006-2008 and in 2000. (fragment of text)
