Abstract

Koncepcja inteligentnych miast to nie tylko nowy kierunek w teorii, ale także zbiór rozwiązań obecnie szeroko stosowanych w praktyce ekonomiki miejskiej. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie złożoności pojęcia "inteligentne miasto", problemów związanych z pomiarem stopnia "inteligencji" miast, jak również z klasyfikowaniem jednostek osadniczych do tej kategorii oraz wstępne wskazanie, w jakich obszarach i przy jakich dodatkowych warunkach inteligentne miasto może pozytywnie oddziaływać na rozwój całego regionu. W opracowaniu jako podstawową zastosowano metodę opisową. Przedmiotem badań są inteligentne miasta ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem możliwości ich oddziaływania na rozwój regionu macierzystego. Aby inteligentne miasto lub miasta mogły się stać katalizatorem rozwoju regionu macierzystego, muszą być spełnione dodatkowe warunki. Dotyczą one przede wszystkim występowania silnych i licznych powiązań funkcjonalnych poziomych i pionowych wewnątrz regionu oraz rozwiniętego kapitału ludzkiego i społecznego(abstrakt oryginalny)

The concept of smart cities is not just a new direction in theory, but also a solution widely used in the practice of urban economics. The aim of the paper is to present the term of "smart city", problems associated with measuring the "degree of intelligence" of cities, as well as classifying cities in this category and a preliminary indication in what areas and under what additional conditions the smart city can positively influence the development of the whole region. The author has used above all a descriptive method. The subject of research is a smart city with particular reference to its impact on regional development. For the smart city could become a catalyst for the development of the region additional conditions must be met. They relate mainly to strong and numerous functional connections (horizontal and vertical) within the region and developed human and social capital(original abstract)
