Abstract
Głównym celem opracowania jest próba dokonania systematyzacji, zakresu i przesłanek restytucji i rozwoju gospodarstw rolnych na obszarach miejskich i podmiejskich krajów wysoko rozwiniętych, a także dokonanie typologii podmiotów zaangażowanych w miejską agrokulturę. Celem pośrednim (o charakterze utylitarnym) jest wskazanie szerokiego spektrum działalności rolniczej adekwatnej do warunków obszarów wysoko zurbanizowanych oraz korzyści z tego płynących.(fragment tekstu)

The main aim of this analysis is to present premises of restitution and development of farms in urban and peri-urban areas in highly developed countries. During the conducted discussions, the most important functions of urban agriculture which explain the appropriateness of its restitution and development have been pinpointed. Three main forms of urban agriculture have also been characterized, namely urban and peri-urban agriculture, urban gardening and non urban oriented farming. The typology of farms, especially those marked out for development within urban and peri-urban agriculture, has also been described in this analysis.(original abstract)
