Abstract

In the last few years, interest in informal social networks as a knowledge management tool has increased among researchers and practitioners. It focuses primarily on issues related to knowledge network development and implementation in organizations. Unfortunately, there is a little knowledge about the results of cooperation of actors of informal knowledge networks both on individu-al and organizational levels. Based on the KM-literature research the paper presents in a synthetic manner organizational benefits of informal knowledge net-works.(original abstract)
