- Zostanie przedstawiona prosta analiza serii kilkudziesięciu pieczęci cylindrycznych ukazujących Boga-Węża. Na tym przykładzie można będzie zwrócić uwagę na rozmaite praktyczne problemy wiążące się z wykorzystaniem taksonomii numerycznej w analizach ikonograficznych. (fragment tekstu)
A series of 38 cylinder seals representing Snake-God, dated from 23rd century BCE, was found in various sites of ancient Mesopotamia. It has been described by the author with 22 binary characteristics. The analysis of Czekanowski's diagram for Jaccard's similarity coefficients matrix revealed five clusters, characterised chiefly by Snake-God's companion and an object held by this deity in hand. There was also a relation shown between the mode of representing of the altar in face of Snake-God and stars in the field. The attributes of the Snake-God indicate that he may be related to Ningiszida and Nirah, two Mesopotamian gods known from written sources. (original abstract) - Accessibility
