Abstract
Purpose: This article is focused on the application of the competency model in the human resource management sphere and the analysis of key processes in a chosen company located in the Liberec Region. Design/methodology/approach: For the purpose of their research they used the method of critically analyzing the literature. Findings: The first part of this article is about the human resource management based on the competency model. In the second part are described the key HR activities of the chosen company and the challenges they have to settle with.(original abstract)
