Abstract
Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny. Omówiono w nim: znaczenie innowacji dla rozwoju firm, miejsce strategii logistycznej w strategii biznesowej firmy oraz rolę innowacji w obu powyższych. Przybliżono metodę klasyfikacji innowacji, przystosowaną do specyfiki logistyki. Jako metodę badawczą przyjęto analizę źródeł literaturowych oraz metodę opisu przypadku. W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane innowacyjne rozwiązania w obszarze logistyki: Internet rzeczy (IoT) oraz pojazdy autonomiczne. Odrębny podrozdział poświęcono innowacjom w firmie Amazon, z uwagi na pozycję firmy jako wiodącego operatora logistycznego na świecie i uznanie jej za najbardziej innowacyjną firmę świata w roku 2017(abstrakt oryginalny)

This is a theoretical article based on a review of literature. It discusses the importance of innovation for business development, the place of logistics strategy in the company's business strategy and the role of innovation in both of the above. The method of classification of innovations, adapted to the specifics of logistics, has been approximated. As the research method, the analysis of literature sources and the method of case description were adopted. The article presents selected innovative solutions in the field of logistics: Internet of Things (IoT) and autonomous vehicles. A separate subsection was devoted to innovations at Amazon, due to the company's position as a leading logistics operator in the world and recognition of it as the most innovative company in the world in 2017(original abstract)
