Abstract
Przekonanie o sensie pracy to silny predykator m.in. zaangażowania w pracę, satysfakcji zawodowej i przywiązania do organizacji. Tym samym stanowi istotny czynnik w ocenie kapitału ludzkiego przedsiębiorstwa. Pod wpływem zmian w otoczeniu pracownika to przekonanie może ulegać tak wzmocnieniu, jak osłabieniu. Tegoż ekstremalnym przypadkiem jest pojawienie się przekonania o bezsensie pracy. Brakuje jednak opracowań pokazujących, kiedy i jak ta zmiana zachodzi. Artykuł jest pierwszą próbą uzupełnienia tych dwóch luk w literaturze przedmiotu. Na podstawie wywiadów narracyjnych z pracownikami, którzy doświadczyli przejścia od przekonania o sensie do przekonania o bezsensie pracy, opisano ten proces. Wykazano, że składa się on z 6 etapów, wskazano na jego charakterystykę i możliwe warianty. Podkreślono, że przekonanie o bezsensie pracy jest tymczasowe, i pokazano, jak pracownicy sobie z nim radzą. Artykuł wieńczą rekomendacje dla dalszych badań zmienności przekonania o sensie pracy. Meaningful work is a salient predictor encompassing work engagement, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Thus, it is an important variable in organizational human capital assessment. The sense of work meaningfulness may vary. It may both increase and decrease, and in extreme cases lead to a sense of work meaninglessness. However, there is no literature that presents just how this change occurs and there is little consideration for the very process itself. This process is described and explained on the basis of narrative interviews with employees whose sense of work meaningfulness has been replaced by a sense of work meaninglessness. The process consists of six stages, with certain variants. Although participants experienced a sense of work meaninglessness, this proved to be temporary. Thus, the resulting coping strategies are also described. Having explained the process, some ideas for research on work meaningfulness are also proposed. (original abstract)
