Abstract
Przedmiotem opracowania jest zastosowanie analizy SWOT w stosunku do regionu turystycznego. Autor omawia teoretyczne podstawy tej analizy i przedstawia przekroje mocnych i słabych stron regionu turystycznego.

The analysis of strengths and weaknesses is a basic method of systemic analysis. It is the basis for formulating aims and strategies for tourist regions' development. The analysis makes it possible to decide which natural factors are most attractive and what the range and structure of market services is. It also helps to define competitive markets, tourism development strategy in the region as well as methods and tools of putting tourist offers into effect. While implementing the results of this analysis in building the strategy it should be remembered to evaluate the most important factors deciding of its success. (original abstract)
