Abstract
Sektor spółdzielczych banków jest w fazie głębokiej restrukturyzacji. Autorka przedstawiła jeden z problemów tej restrukturyzacji tj. ich strukturalną nadbudowę.

One of the objectives of present restructuring Polish co-operative banking sector is to restore intermediate and central structures in order to increase this sector's stability and effectiveness. Being aware that without proper organizing on regional and national levels they will not be able to play a significant part in economic development of the country, co-operative banks decided to unite. Most of them united in BGŻ in compliance with the new regulations; the remaining ones - in one of KZBS banks. Created in this way superstructure is not a coherent unity. Thus, the objective of restructuring has not been attained in full and the segmentation of co-operative banks has led to unprofitable deconcentration of already existing small capital.
