Abstract
Autorka przedstawiła własną koncepcję elastyczności personalnej jako permanentną zdolność przystosowywania się do ciągłych zmian zachodzących w środowisku pracy, a szczególnie w przypadku pracy tymczasowej. Elastyczność tą można nabywać poprzez regularny trening i powtarzanie określonych działań i czynności, jaki może być ona tą umiejętnością, z którą się rodzimy. Elastyczność można również traktować jako część składowa odporności psychologicznej i w tym sensie jej trenowanie umożliwia globalną poprawę funkcjonowania psychospołecznego jednostek.

The author presents her concepts of personal flexibility, a permanent ability of adjusting to frequent changes in job environments, especially during temporary work. Through regular practice, repetition of actions and activities, a habit will be created. Flexibility can also be an ability that we are born with. Created by an individual's optimal usage of their psychology (which is the cognitive, emotional and behavioral potential) in a particular situation. Flexibility in this approach is superior to any other ability. It is responsible for selecting the action that will give the individual optimal results in a given task. Secondly, use of a physical metaphor of flexibility adopted from physics is made. Flexibility is the ability of returning to the previous shape and size after removing the shape changing load. Personal flexibility allows us to adjust to change. The adjusting is the process from an individual's own activity to any other in a way which is natural and easy as if second nature, causing no harm or permanent changes in the „Self". Layers of personal flexibility. Flexibility is an ability whereas plasticity, metamorphosis and destruction are the person's qualities. Distinguishing layers of theoretical, pathological and psychological flexibility brings new diagnostic and sociological possibilities to the analyzed phenomenon. The metaphor of flexibility as a cleansing program describes a set of processes influencing a human being's actions that are not dependent on his/her consciousness. The process functions to defend the „Self structure. They block any emotional stress caused by outside pressures which could possibly lead any „Self structure changes; to reduce emotions evoked due to internal conflicts in the environment; they remove all content of the person's experiences that could have negative consequences for the „Self structure.
