Sweden, Poland - Abstract
- Omówiono wymianę handlową między Polską a Szwecją oraz szwedzkie inwestycje bezpośrednie w Polsce w latach 1990-1997. Zwrócono uwagę na niekorzystną strukturę polskiego eksportu oraz na bariery natury prawnej (przepisy celne i podatkowe) ograniczające szwedzki eksport do Polski i inwwestycje bezpośrednie.
We observe constant increase both in the total amount of Swedish Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Poland and in the amount of trade exchange between Poland and Sweden in the nineties. For Sweden Poland is the most important economic partner in Central and Eastern Europe. However, the share of Polish export to Sweden in the total Polish exports is low. That considers also the dynamics of Polish export. It's caused by unfavourable structure of the goods to be exported. Swedish investors and exporters complain about innumerable obstacles (mainly legal environment) to closer economic relationship with Poland. Therefore, change of unfavourable structure of Polish exports, Polish membership in European Union and the appropriate policy of governments and economic bodies could result in the closer cooperation between the above mentioned countries.(original abstract) - Accessibility
