- Artykuł omawia badania mające na celu ocenę aktywności władz lokalnych w zakresie turystyki. Badaniami objęto wszystkie 114 gmin województwa zachodniopomorskiego. Badania ankietowe przeprowadzono w 2001 roku.
In order to evaluate the activities of local authorities of the Western Pomerania Province in tourism, the survey research was carried out. The survey covered all 114 counties in the province and referred to the following issues: - having an elaborated strategy of tourism development, - taking up activities directed towards tourism stimulation in the county, - types of applied preferences and encouragement for the legal entities planning to invest in the tourism sector, - taken up tasks directed towards prolonging the tourism season, - the location of an institution dealing with tourism issues in the administrative structure of the county, . - adequate forms of tourism promotion, - planned investments, - scope of cooperation with other subjects within the field of tourism, - evaluation of regional authorities' involvement with reference to the development of tourism, - cooperation with the Western European Regional Tourism Organisation, - taking advantage of the assistance means received from the European Union within the range of investments in tourism, - conducted research of the tourism market, - means allocated to tourism in the county budget, - estimates regarding the size of revenues from tourism. The results of conducted research allowed for the evaluation of the county authorities' activities within the field of tourism. (original abstract) - Accessibility
