- Autor przedstawia teorię podejmowania decyzji w warunkach niedoskonałej wiedzy. Omawia zachowania konsumenta, drobnego oferenta i oferenta monopolisty w warunkach niepewności.
Imperfect knowledge of economic subject about the market environment results in the necessity of making decisions on production and/or consumption quantity in a different way as compared to the perfect knowledge situation. The paper is the analysis of economic behavior under the uncertainty which means that an economic subject has the knowledge on all the possible states of the environment but not on the probability distribution of their occurrence. It is a more realistic approach towards most economic activities as that assuming the transformation of uncertainty into risk which implies the perfect knowledge of a subject on the distribution concerned. The analysis concerns the market behavior of atomistic consumer and producer faced with the necessity of adapting their decisions to exogenous market prices. For all the cases under examination, the assumption has been made that the economic subjects are pesimists. It results in reducing possible profits by producers and benefits (utility) by consumers.(original abstract) - Accessibility
