Abstract
Autorka skoncentrowała się na dwóch elementach kultury korporacyjnej: systemie przekonań kadry zarządzającej spółki dominującej oraz integracji kultury organizacyjnej. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na czterech holdingach. Na ich podstawie sformułowano wnioski dotyczące warunków niezbędnych dla pomyślnego ukształtowania kultury organizacyjnej.

The article covers the problem of organizational culture in multi-business companies. The organizational culture is the set of values that are common to all workers and managers of multi-business company. It identifies the company and can be helpful in achieving the aims of the company and it can unable achieving them. In developing the deeper understanding of the role of organizational culture, two factors of the culture are described: the system of beliefs of upper management in the parenting business and the integrity of the culture. The system of beliefs includes the personality of managers (the values and aims that are deeply rooted and shaped by the experience) and their understanding of the businesses. It should fit the opportunities of growth in daughter businesses, it should enable to indicate: the critical success factors, the type of managers that would fit the businesses and the most convenient parenting style. The integrity of the culture means that there is cohesion among the values and beliefs of the workers, the managers, the aims and strategies of each business, the group of businesses and the outsiders. The last part of the article shows the variety of problems in this field in Polish multi-business companies: in one case the culture is not the focus of attention, in the other - it is only declared but not implemented. There are also the patterns of good job in this area, when organizational culture helps achieving the strategic goals of the holding. (original abstract)
