Abstract
Przedstawiono wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego w lutym 2000 r. wśród studentów i pracowników naukowych Akademii Ekonomicznej w Katowicach. Stanowią one podstawę do rozważań nad kierunkami rozwoju procesów dydaktycznych w szkole wyższej XXI wieku.

The question: how to educate students and what knowledge should be conveyed to them now that we face so many quick transformations - is urgent for those who to be in the lead on educational market. The paper deals with results of the research gathered from a questionnaire which was carried out in February 2000 among the students and teachers of the University of Economics in Katowice. The research dealt with attitudes and aspirations of the academic youth as well as of the teaching staff, considering the didactics and its directions of development in the higher school of the 21st century. They have become the groundwork for presentation of such problems as interdisciplinary teaching, change of a didactic paradigm or internationalisation school and of the teaching process.
