- Przedstawiono miejsce i rolę rynku pieniężnego, jako jednego z segmentów rynku finansowego. Dokonano charakterystyki zarówno samego rynku pieniężnego, jak i jego instrumentów (weksel, certyfikaty depozytowe, lokaty międzybankowe, transakcje odkupu), a także podmiotów w nim uczestniczących.
The present article presents the place and the role of money market treated as the second segment of the financial market, after the capital market. The paper considers the features distinguishing the money market from other financial markets, it also deals with the conditions which led to the formation and growth of this market and with the mechanisms of the functioning of the money market, its classification and also the micro- and macro-economic functions which it performs.
