- Autor przeanalizował działalność naukową Józefa Supińskiego (1804-1893), filozofa, socjologa i ekonomisty pod kątem dwóch jego prac: "Myśli ogólnej fizjologii wszechświatów" i "Szkoły polskiej gospodarstwa społecznego". J. Supiński zmierzał do wypracowania teorii rozwoju kraju zacofanego gospodarczo i opóźnionego w postępie cywilizacyjnym. Autor koncentruje się nad rozważaniami J. Supińskiego w kwestii "zasobu społecznego" (do których Supiński zaliczył wartości materialne i intelektualne), naturą tej koncepcji, częściami składowymi i jej nawiązaniem do innych interpretacji.
The research activity of Józef Supiński (1804-1893), a philosopher, sociologist and author of two works, "The General Thought of the Phyysioligy of the Universe" (Lvov 1860) and "The Polish Shool of a Social Farm" (Lvov 1862 and 1865), was meant to work out the theory of development of the country which was backward in terms of its economy and civilisational progress. The category of social resource is the central one the theoretical system of Józef Supiński. In his view, the social resource is "...a common element of all humanity...", a set of social values whose growth allows the further progress of civilisation. The concept of dule-fold nature of the social resource as worked out by Józef Supiński clearly shows a relationship with the French social thought of the first part of the 19th c. and in the first place with H. Saint-Simon. On the other hand, one can see no intellectual inspiration of the German thought of that time (the national school and the older historical school). Contrary to Germany, where the English-French economy was broken with, the Polish economic thought of that time, including the work of Józef Supiński, accepts the fundamental canons of the classical economy.
